We have prepared a list of common issues and resolutions which could also potentially be useful for self-diagnosis.
General FAQ What should I do if the type of display I need is not featured on this web site? Many of the signs we build are customised to meet the exact needs of our customers, so please fill in our enquiry form with as much detail as you can about your requirements.
Why can a see short flashes of light from some signs during the night? All of our displays perform routine health checks. For some customer displays this check includes an active LED test which involves sending a short pulse to each LED to verify its working properly. This results in a very short pulse of light which is invisible during the day but can be seen at night, particularly in unlit areas. The frequency and type of background test is tailored to the customers requirements and the nature of the application. For details of testing on specific products please email our support team:
How much power does a LED sign need? Low power is a fundamental part of the design of our displays. LED technology offers significantly lower power consumption than other display types. For details of the specific power requirements of any of our products or the predicted power requirements of a custom display please contact our support team:
What can I do if I can’t get power to the location were I want the sign to go? We have installed many systems using alternative,
renewable energy sources; such as Solar and Wind. The cost and size of
the equipment required
are dependant upon many factors including location, frequency of use,
required availability and the size of the display. If you require 100%
availability for a critical application then we would always recommend
a fixed power supply, however, we are happy to review your application
and advise on the best solution. |
